Jeremy Dauber has been a nationally and internationally recognized professor, teacher, writer, and consultant in areas relating to American culture for over a quarter of a century. Currently the Mendelson Professor of American Studies at Columbia University and director of its Center for American Studies, his many non-fiction books cover aspects of American culture ranging from humor to horror to comic books; they have been widely praised in outlets ranging from The New York Times to The New Yorker and have been nominated for and received a wide variety of awards.
In addition, Jeremy has published two books for children, receiving an award for his work from the Children’s Book Council. And, most recently, he was selected as one of the 2026 Sundance Institute Fellows for his co-written television pilot CUPIDITY.
This combination of historical expertise and creative ability makes Jeremy uniquely positioned to assist feature film productions, television programs, and theatrical enterprises at any and all stages of production.
Jeremy is also an internationally recognized speaker who has lectured on aspects of American culture around the world, and has written for publications including The New York Times, The Times Literary Supplement, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic, among many others.
